He Still Wanted To Do It
It certainly looked like a piece of ancient bone. It didn’t feel like some cheap plastic replica. No, he thought. There’s no way this is authentic. He rolled it in his fingers and dropped it back into his pocket.
The centurion told him to make a wish and drop it on the arena floor. It was way better than tossing a penny into a fountain, the centurion said. The wish was way more powerful. The guy had been so serious, too. Bob laughed to himself. It was absolutely ridiculous, but he still wanted to do it.
